Cazuela is a traditional Spanish dish cooked in a clay pot of the same name. Cazuelas are wide and flat casseroles made of low-fired clay. They have a glazed interior to prevent liquids from seeping through the porous clay, while the bottom remains unglazed. Cazuelas come in various sizes but are typically not very deep and often do not come with lids.
This versatile clay pot is used to prepare a wide range of Spanish dishes, including stews, rice dishes, and braised meats, infusing the food with unique flavors and creating a delightful culinary experience.
