Christmas Nougat Flan

Enjoy the creamy and festive goodness of this Christmas Nougat Flan with your loved ones during the holiday season!

  • 200 grams of Jijona nougat by Turrones Pico
  • 500 grams of milk (whole or 2%)
  • 250 grams of light cream
  • 75 grams of white sugar
  • 2 envelopes of  (1 oz) of unflavored gelatin 
  • Liquid caramel

Instructions (45 min approx.)

  1. Chop the nougat using a food processor, or a knife on a cutting board.
  2. Pour the caramel into the mold and evenly spread it on the bottom and sides.
  3. Reserve half a glass of milk and heat the rest in a saucepan with sugar, nougat, and cream.
  4. Dissolve the two unflavored gelatin envelopes in the reserved cold milk, ensuring no lumps remain.
  5. Once the mixture in the saucepan begins to boil, add the gelatin mixture and stir continuously until it boils again. Continue stirring for a few more minutes and pour into the mold over the caramel.
  6. Let the flan cool at room temperature before refrigerating. It's best to prepare it a day in advance.
  7. Before serving, unmold the flan and decorate it to your liking.
